I
finished the second and third book in one sitting. It was THAT highly addictive. The urge to know the
Macy’s secret was eating me alive, and I wanted to know what it is that had
made her that was. What was in her past that she couldn’t share with Cal?
Despite
the initial guesses, Sawyer Bennett still managed to pull off some amazing
twist to end this series. It was heartbreaking, gut-wrenching, and it was
enough to wish somebody ill (grrr.) Nevertheless, I was just happy that Macy
was finally able to share her secret to someone than her best friend. It was
freeing, and you can feel the load in her lighten up, especially when Cal
stayed, and never left her.
It
was a dark, dark secret that might have sent someone running, but not Cal. He
was strong enough for it: strong enough to catch her, strong enough to be with
her, and strong enough to fight for her.
It
might have taken some time before Macy trusted Cal with it, but Cal was
patient. He waited, and Macy risking every single thing within her found it
worth it. Cal was everything she deserved, no matter how much baggage she had
on her back, he was helpful enough to carry it for her.
The
sex was still mind-blowing, the chemistry was still off the charts. But this
