Review:

Lori “Naughty” Sullivan finally falls in love in ALWAYS ON MY MIND, the new book in Bella Andre’s New York Times and USA Today bestselling series about the Sullivan family.

After a tragic loss three years ago, Grayson Tyler left his life in New York City behind and started over in the rolling hills of the California coast. He's convinced himself that all he'll ever need again is the blue sky, a thousand acres of pasture, and the crashing waves of the ocean. Until one day, Lori Sullivan barges into his life and promptly blows his emotionless and solitary world to shreds, driving him crazy as only a woman nicknamed “Naughty” can. But will Lori be able to convince him that it's safe to love her...and that forever isn't actually out of reach?

Review:

“I fell in love with you when you crashed into my fence post and chased after my chickens and fell down in the mud with the pigs. I fell in love with you when you taught everyone in town to line dance. I fell in love with you when you put Mo’s feelings before your own and stayed with her for as long as she needed you.” One fat tear slid down her cheek as he said, “And, most of all, I fell in love with you when you showed me that it was safe to love again. I keep falling in love with you again and again. Just like I’m falling right this second.”

The last Sullivan sibling is finally having her happy ending!! Lori Sullivan AKA Naughty - the other half of the Sullivan twins just ran out of her Chicago show and went back to San Francisco. Only this time, she didn't want to return home to her family. Knowing them, they would likely ask questions she wasn't prepared to answer. So instead of coming home, she made her way to a strange place, meeting a strange man in the process.

Grayson loved his solitude. He prefers the comfort of his farm - so when a beautiful woman dressed in sequins suddenly drove into his fence and applied as his farmhand - he was caught off guard. She was everything he didn't expect.

I can't believe Lori can pull being a farmhand! Knowing the work demands compare to her previous job - it was amazing that she can do almost anything!!

Lori has a big heart that is ready to give out love - whether its for a person or for the animals in his farm. Grayson may be cranky most of the time - yet, he couldn't help to admire the girl who doesn't seem to mind his grumpiness and was still trying to help him with his farm, and heal his heart.

If not for the fact that Lori just came out of a relationship - and in less than two weeks she found herself once again in love: I would have given it a 5. This type of situation could only amount into two things: (1) she COULD be on a rebound or (2) love does really move in mysterious ways.

I think I would have given them more time to fall in love with each other rather than falling in such a rush just to be sure nobody is on a rebound and Grayson is completely freed from his baggage.

BUT!!!

I had fun reading this final book of the Sullivan Series. It was entertaining reading the scenes where the both of them are in each other's throats and not to mention Lori's scene with the pigs. Simply Adorable.

And the steamy scenes? Fiery & Hot! Lori is indeed a connoisseur of sex - but partner her up with Grayson makes the sex more explosive. Yay!

This is Bella Andre we are talking about here!!!

Ms. Bella Andre, thank you for a great epilogue. It was touchy and heartwarming. It's sad that readers need to say goodbye to the Sullivan Siblings. But Ms. Andre is not finished with the Sullivans yet - she is about to introduce another bunch of Sullivan from the other side of the family tree! Watch out for Rafe's Sullivan Story - The Way You Look Tonight, set to be published Summer 2013.

Not to mention:  Mary & Jack Sullivan's love story to come out on the Fall of 2013.

What more could you ask for?!

Oh yes, there's one thing:

(Rafe's story)

Favorite Quotes:

  • “Because if he wasn’t really, really careful, Lori Sullivan was just going to keep stealing his heart
one sentence, one meal, one smile at time”
  • “All he knew was that she was beautiful...and that, somehow, despite everything he’d done to try to stop it from happening, she’d managed to steal his heart one sassy smile at a time.”
  • “Maybe it was simply that falling in love wasn’t something Lori would ever be able to turn away from, regardless of just how much pain she knew would be coming down the pike. And maybe, just maybe, as long as she never actually confessed to him how she felt, that would make it okay to give in to what she felt for Grayson for one night, beneath the moon, with the smell of wild grass and the ocean all around them...”
  • “Because he finally knew what it felt like to hold sunshine in his hands...and when Lori left, it was going to feel like winter all year round, even on the hottest days of summer.”
  • “Lori finally learned what love truly was.
    Addicting.
    Selfless.
    And entirely without bounds.”
