It has been some time since Leo saw Lulu. She was more beautiful than ever, and she was single. He had been in love with her first but made way for his best friend. He never acted on his feelings. Now she was single, and an arms-length away. Will he finally make his move?
Just like any Lauren Blakely book, I thoroughly enjoyed this novel, the initial mystery surrounding the three musketeers. What happened to them in the past? Who is that other person in the past? And what happened to that other person? Is Leo and Lulu going to have their HEA? Or will this person from the past prevent them from getting there?
I just love Lulu and Leo, and one thing is for sure is that they both deserve a happy ending after what they have been through. I love Lulu and her determination and her wanting of not settling for anything less than what she truly deserves. Leo's loyalty is both his strength and his weakness. But he's kind, funny and he simply deserves the best as well.
I adore every single page, on how the story finally unravel. It was perfectly paced. Not to mention that extra chapter that made my heart truly ache in a wonderful way.
I will never view making, eating, looking at chocolates the same way again. Lauren Blakely made a delectable novel filled with not just sweetness, but a touch of spice and bitterness, with a dose of unforgettable taste that will satisfy your bookish-palate.
