An ambitious intern. A perfectionist executive. And a whole lot of name calling. Discover the story that garnered more than two million reads online.
Whip-smart, hardworking, and on her way to an MBA, Chloe Mills has only one problem: her boss, Bennett Ryan. He’s exacting, blunt, inconsiderate—and completely irresistible. A Beautiful Bastard.
Bennett has returned to Chicago from France to take a vital role in his family’s massive media business. He never expected that the assistant who’d been helping him from abroad was the gorgeous, innocently provocative—completely infuriating—creature he now has to see every day. Despite the rumors, he’s never been one for a workplace hookup. But Chloe’s so tempting he’s willing to bend the rules—or outright smash them—if it means he can have her. All over the office.
As their appetites for one another increase to a breaking point, Bennett and Chloe must decide exactly what they’re willing to lose in order to win each other. Originally only available online as The Office by tby789—and garnering over two million reads on fan fiction sites—Beautiful Bastard has been extensively updated for re-release.

Review Grade:

Review:

This book is pure unadulterated lust. Loved it more than I ever did 50 Shades of Grey.

And he's no Christian Grey.

There is no childhood trauma or twitching fingers.

He's Bennett Ryan and He's the Beautiful Bastard.

Tall. Gorgeous. And enticingly evil.
He's brilliant and successful at a young age. He has his fair share of women - but he's always cranky.
No one seems to please him. I don't know where he go his attitude: his family is okay & he has no history of abuse.

And she's no Anna Steele - #thankGod!

Chloe Mills is indeed no Anastasia Steele - she's better. There is no annoying hobbies and stupid decisions - well except for the fact that she couldn't stop herself in succumbing to the desires of her body.

I love her intelligence, her guts to face her boss and of course, her power panties!!!!
Love the oozing girl power.

Her boss is the ultimate Greek God and she'd be dead if she doesn't feel anything. But no matter how hard she worked- he seemed oblivious to the fact. And she was in for a surprise when out of the blue he wanted her.

But first they had to pass through their hate phase.

How can they possibly get together if all they do is bickering? He hated her guts, she hated his attitude.
How can someone as beautiful as him be an ass?

Nevertheless, one thing is for sure: there is indeed a thin line between hate & love - or is it hate & last?

Verbal Foreplay

All those bickering? All those energy wasted on arguing? It's simply a displacement of their sexual tension - definitely foreplay. It made the whole book interesting.

What I ♥:
  • I love the characters. Sometimes a good novel doesn't really need deep characters who underwent difficulties in life for it to be interesting and worth reading. Light characters that are filled with intelligence and wit can be entertaining as well
  • The Plot of the story. The surprise twist and turns were place on certain parts of the novels that would have readers held on tight to their books or readers.
  • And there's a sequel!!!

Favorite Quotes:
“I was starting to see that this wasn't just sex, and it wasn't something just working out of my system. Sex was just the fastest route to the deeper possession that I needed. I was falling in love with her, and falling to fast and hard to easily find any footing.”

About the Authors

Christina Lauren

Christina & Lauren have been writing all kinds of stories together since 2009. This is not the first erotic romance they’ve ever written . . . but it is the first one under this name. Separated by the pesky state of Nevada, these co-author besties talk several times a day, agree that Ruby Pumps is the best nail polish color ever, and would, if given the choice, spend all day staring at the ocean from the San Clemente pier.
