Becca was in dire need of a husband - just in paper. She needs it straight away. So when Fitz offered to marry her, in lieu of her runaway groom, she agreed. Arthur Fitzgerald is way over her league and a playboy.
Her god-mother wrote a strict clause in her will to get hitched and get the building that she and some wonderful people lived in for free in the middle of the crazy, expensive, New York. She needs to make sure he behaves until she gets what she wants from this sham marriage.
Their plan is working superbly until her husband decided to change the rules a bit. A kiss here and there, and sleeping together wouldn’t be a big of a problem for either of them, can it? But will this sham marriage turn into something real?
I like Becca - she’s a great person. I mean, imagine the things she had to go through to save their homes. She is lucky to have her grandmother, as well as the friends that surrounds her. Granting that some of them are weird and minds her business, but it’s just clear that they care for her.
Fitz likes his devil-may-care attitude and banks on it. After all, that’s what his family and the people around thinks about him, why change their minds? But he has his own secret too, and he’s trying to keep it to himself and the rest of the world.
