Book Review | Wedding Night with the Earl by Amelia Grey

25503084

A stubborn nobleman and a willful young woman are at the heart of bestselling author Amelia Grey's newest love story.

Can An Improper Proposal

Adam Greyhawke is through with marriage. After losing his wife at a young age, he's more interested in carousing and gambling at the Heirs' Club than taking another trip to the altar. When his obligations as the Earl of Greyhawke thrust him into the heart of Society, he dreads the boredom that only a ballroom can inspire in a roguish scoundrel. That is, until he meets a bewitching young woman who captures his curiosity—and reminds him just how delicious desire can be.

Lead To True And Lasting Passion?

Miss Katharine Wright is accustomed to men interested only in her generous dowry. Adam's attraction is far more powerful—he tests her wits and her courage at every turn, until she finds herself longing to fulfill an everlasting passion she never imagined was possible. But the breathtakingly handsome nobleman is as stubborn as he is scandalous, and Katharine must be the one to convince him that real love is worth any risk…

After losing his wife to childbirth, Adam Greyhawke is through with marriage. He would never allow another woman to go down the same path as his late wife did. All he needed to do was to enjoy life at his Club, do his obligations as the new Earl of Greyhawke until his cousin is old enough to take the title. But he couldn’t resist this particular invitation from a certain duke, and there he meets a willful young woman who stole his breath away.

Katherine may have suffered from the same loss and have something to remember it by, but it didn’t dampen her spirits. I love her charm, courage, her strong sense of self, her ability to go after and fight for what she wants and to know what she’s worthy of. Despite her love for anyone, no matter how big it is, or how deep – she wouldn’t settle for anything less and I admire her for it.

Both of them have suffered enough loss – will Adam be brave enough to risk his heart once again for love?

It’s a stand-alone historical romance that I have enjoyed immensely and finished in one sitting – from the witty banter shared by our two amazing characters, the right amount of drama and romance down right to the intense chemistry that is brewing between the two of them makes this book one interesting and entertaining read.

Zoe Welch didn’t think that she’d quit the army because she had to go home to take care of her eight-year old sister, Jasmine after her parents got into a car accident that have taken their lives. Now, at her early twenties, she travelled from Tokyo all the way back to US to take a whole set of responsibility she never planned on. She didn’t even know where or how to begin.

Matt Paladino is her sister’s 3rd grade teacher who isn’t afraid to take an extra mile for the kids or for the people he is fighting for at work. He’s handsome, athletic and knows a thing (or trick) or two about riding horses. They both care about Jasmine, and it’s the reason that has brought them together.

Both of them have secrets in their past they weren’t comfortable in sharing. Both have their hearts and trusts broken by other people – and to once again risk it would be a big task for the both of them. Will they allow themselves to risk and fall? Or would allow their past to dictate their future?

Why I love Charles Sheehan-Miles?
·         He writes the most unexpected things that will surprise you.
·         He makes it more than just romance, but still has that sweet, romantic thing going on that can still make you swoon.
·         He writes about social issues that some writers don’t want to dwell on.
·         He raises awareness to his readers with his books (entertainment + information = must-read!)

This was more than just another romantic story, this has more to it. Despite the fact that it’s less action than the Thompson sisters I still found it great and interesting. With both of their pasts being laid down before us, we understand what they had went through, what’s going on and why are both of them reacting that way in the present. Their struggles are real, anyone can relate to it, especially those at the service, and those who have lost people they love. There are moments in this book that was beautiful and overwhelming, it almost brought me to tears.

It’s a story about family. It’s about love. It’s about losing someone, and finding someone. It’s about grief – accepting and overcoming it. It’s about facing your fears and being brave enough to face the inevitable even though you are nowhere ready for it.

From New York Times Bestselling Author, Penelope Ward, comes a new standalone novel.

Sharing a summer house with a hot-as-hell roommate should be a dream come true, right?

Not when it’s Justin…the only person I’d ever loved…who now hates me.

When my grandmother died and left me half of the house on Aquidneck Island, there was a catch: the other half would go to the boy she helped raise.

The same boy who turned into the teenager whose heart I broke years ago.

The same teenager who’s now a man with a hard body and a hardass personality to match.

I hadn’t seen him in years, and now we’re living together because neither one of us is willing to give up the house.

The worst part? He didn’t come alone.

I’d soon realize there’s a thin line between love and hate. I could see through that smug smile. Beneath it all…the boy is still there. So is our connection.

The problem is…now that I can’t have Justin, I’ve never wanted him more.

Author's note – RoomHate is a full-length standalone novel. Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.
